I had the pleasure of working with Bob for several years at Messina Tax Service in Bolingbrook. He was a great man who was very knowledgeable and taught me a lot about the tax code. When we had down time, he would always share stories of his Service in the military, his childhood and golf. My own father has been gone since 2000, so talking with Bob always reminded me of the little father/daughter chats I was longing for. A lover of sweets, Bob never failed to miss eating any ‘goodies’ brought into the office and seemed to always leave a trail of crumbs from the coffee pot table to his desk
(I will eat chocolate long johns in his honor) He had a great sense of sarcastic humor, which blended so well with mine and made the work day more relaxed and fun. He had many clients who adored and respected him. He will be greatly missed. You worked hard all your life and were a great man. My deepest condolences to his family ~ May you rest in peace, Bob. I will miss you. Laura

We met Robert twice, during the occasion of the wedding of his daughter to our
son and during the baptism of our common grandson. During those occasions
we found we had similar values , family backgrounds and life experiences. If we
had lived closer I am certain we would have become close friends.
We offer his near family our heartfelt sympathies and prayers.

Bob did my taxes for a very long time. He was a real pro that turned into a friend. I’ll miss him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
Dear Merry, Kathy, John and Joe, Please accept our sincere prayers and sympathies for the loss of your husband and your children’s father. I so enjoyed seeing Bob at Mass when he came. He always had a wonderful smile and he never forget to ask about our family, Eddie and Jimmy, and of course, “Bushia” Ed’s mother, who be 100 May 27 this year. I will miss seeing him at Mass. I am so thankful Bob got to see his grandson Blaise. That had to be such a joy for him. John and Joe please take care of your mother. Treat her with kindness and love. Kathy, as her daughter, I know that you will there for your mom. Merry bless your children and love them always. With blessings and prayers, Ed and Helene Szostak and all
our family

Marian & Family,
We may not have met, but I was a good friend of Bob, and graduated from Cardinal Mindszenty Highschool with him in 1954. We played football; he was our QB and I played Center. In baseball he was our 3rd baseman, and I played 1st base. His brother Tom was one of our pitchers. Bob was a great friend, and we will remember him in our prayers.
God Bless,
