Dearest Jan and Family (and Bob)

My sincerest sympathy on the passing of Bob (he was my great e-mail buddy). He will certainly be missed by all of us. Bob was a great America patriot. He was also a great husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend. He is now with God in Heaven, so we will all see him again some day. May you receive the Peace that Jesus can give you in this very trying time. I love you all (Jan, Danielle, and the babies). Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

    Love from your friend,

    Phyllis

    With love,

    Tina Falbo

I wish I could be there, but my heart with be with you all. I am so sorry for your loss

    • Janet Lindsey says:

Thank you, dear. You are family (Danielle’s sister). As bad as this is, it has brought the remaining family closer together. It was wonderful having David stay for 2 weeks – he, Danielle, my sister and Tim have been such a tremendous help to me. I gave your dad a big hug and kiss when I saw him at the ceremony. He knows what I’m going through because he went through it first. Love you!

  9. Donna Dawson says:

What a shock to hear this news…I’m so sad for you, Danielle and for your Mom and the rest of the family. Working with Bob at Stargate was a gift. He was always smiling, always friendly, (and he thought I was!)…We’ve just always gotten along great and I have always admired the man that he was, respected the husband and father he has always been to Danielle. I haven’t seen you since my wedding in June ’06, but I’m so happy that you were all there! Everyone sitting at the “Marrietta Table” quite by coincidence…♥ When I have thought of Bob since then, in my mind’s eye he’s always smiling, genuinely and always ready to help with any computer question I have.
He’s one of those truly nice people that others only hope to be and always respect.
God is blessed to have him in Heaven today…the Angels have to be rejoicing to see his now heavenly smile, too. May the Peace that passeth understanding fill your hearts in the coming days. I love you all and my heart is there with you, Donna

  10. Kim Pack says:

I’m in a state of shock just like you all. Bob was such an interesting man. He and Wally got along so well. I hope they’re in heaven discussing history and watching, “Excalabur”. We always enjoyed all the wood items he made for us over the years via Oak Works. Still have the china closet and coffee table. LOVED the built in shelves at 312 Bedford Rd. I also remember the time David and Bob put a roof on our house at 333 Evergreen Drive. Talented man. Good man! Once Wally and I were talking about a guy we know. Wally says, “He’s as good a man as Bob Lindsey”! Miss you Bob! Take care Janet, Danielle, David and family!

    Love, Kim

  11. Tina and John says:

    Jan and Family,
Sorry for your lost. Our prayers are with you and your Family at this time. It was a shock to here that Bob passed away. John and I are here if you need anything your neighbor with the huskies.

    Tina and John

  12. Janeann and Renay McKenzie says:

    Jan and Family-

As your tears flow during this most difficult and saddened time … take time to smile at all the spectacular memories of your husband and father (grandfather too!) and know that your friends will always be a part of your extended family and here for you at any … any time – whether as a shoulder to cry on or when you need a good belly laugh in sharing a memory of Bob with us!

May our loving Lord wrap you in his arms of comfort and give you peace.

    Love, Janeann and Renay

  13. Pattie Steinmetz says:

    Dear Jan:

Please know that I am so very sorry for everything you have been through these last weeks….I am lost for words.
You and your family will remain in my prayers…and know, my friend, I am just a
    call away.

    Love and Great Big Hug…Pattie

  16. Scott & Marlene Story says:

I am so very sorry for your loss. I will miss seeing Bob walking the neighborhood exercising your precious dogs. Jan, I met you at a yard sale at your house a few yrs. ago where we shared a pleasant conversation. I live on the other side of the circle.

A couple of years ago, I called to ask if one of your cats was missing as there was a very sick cat that came into my backyard for a drink of water & it was the same color as yours. You came over and gently took that cat home to care for it, even though you realized that it wasn’t yours. While you were at work, Bob compassionately tended to that cat and held it as it passed away a few hrs. later. How many men would take time to do that for a stray cat? Few, if any. I will remember Bob Lindsey as a kind man with a good heart. The world was better for his being in it.

May God comfort you during this difficult time.
    Sincerely,

    • Janet says:

Thank you Marlene. We touched base again the other day, and I appreciate the kind things you had to say here. I had forgotten about that cat – you have a good memory. I hope we can become friends. I would like you to have a couple of Bob’s books – come by sometime and I’ll let you look through them and select a few.

  17. Becky Kyznar says:

OMGosh Janet, I just read Danielle’s blog. I don’t have the words to tell you and the kid’s how sorry I am. Please know I stopped and prayed for God’s comfort on all of you, that you would feel his grace and know you are never alone.
Being neighbor’s had it’s ups & downs , but all in all we had alot of fun. He was a good man and loved you deeply. He will be missed.
Hugs & Prayers, Becky & Randy

    • Janet Lindsey says:

Becky, it’s good to hear from you. This was a total shock to me – we were married for 44 years and knew each other 46. He hadn’t been sick that we knew of. Please stop by some time – I’d love to see you. We did have good times together and I’d love to hear about Amber.

Information about Preplanning

Today more than ever, people are choosing to pre-plan or prepay for their own funeral arrangements. Such planning helps to prevent the surviving family members from having to make arrangements on short notice, reduces emotional strain and helps to ensure that the wishes of the deceased will be respected.
